ETBlogs Soapbox: “Massachusetts is on the move”

I am in no way implying our governor is in any way like him but Hitler also was a great orator. It is the listeners who have the problem in triaging the governors oratory. Any budget that has gambling taxes in it is a false budget, at least at this stage. To say that it is a tactic to put pressure on the state legislature is an insult to the voters and taxpayers of this Commonwealth, not to mention the legislature. It is indicative of the arrogant way the governor has done and is doing his job. I hope he leaves for Washington D.C. fast.
He complains of Romney not being in the state a lot when he began his run at the presidency, BUT HE HAS SPENT A GOOD BIT OF TIME campaigning for Obama and this is his first year in office.

    Mr. Carlson,
It doesn't happen often, but I wholeheartedly agree with you on this one.

Today, I sent a letter to the editor which dovetails with this subject. Following is a retype of my email.

    "topic: State of State-Taxes&Gambling-1/27/08

Here in CA, we have 4 Propositions on the ballot re: gambling.

The current State budget is short by 14 Billion dollars plus. These props will bring in 9 Billion dollars over the next 20 years. That's less than 500 Million per year; however, these props are being billed as 'no new taxes.' Does anyone have swamp land they want to sell?

There is an old saying, 'If you sleep with a dog, you wake up with fleas.' Here in CA, 'If you sleep with a Democrat, you wake up with liberalitis.'

Count your blessings. The MA budget of 28.2 Billion would only cover 1/2 of CA's budget for education alone. Viva the Prussian Fuehrer of Mexifornia!"

I wish our potted plant governor would go home and stop putting his and mbta employees personal lives before late trains crumbling bridges and pot holes. I dont care about there personal lives if its not something that is going to help the economy so far most massachusetts politicians personal lives are more important than weather people make it to work or school on time. If you can keep your personal lives out of the news than you should resign that means being a leader.
