Part 3</title><link>http://blogs.eagletribune.com/soapbox/2007/08/09/where-can-i-get-a-deal-like-that-part-3/#comment-450067215</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Ken,&lt;br&gt;I would like to point out, that as a public employee, I paid 11.2 % to my pension plan as was indicated by your earlier reader and then I was also taxed for SS which I will not be able to recover, as if I should try to do so,  my pension will be decreased by the amount that SS delivers.  This is in addition to all the SS I paid for the 11 years I worked two jobs, one as a private employee and one as a public employee. I also was able to create a 403B fund for myself, using moneys I made at a part time job.  There are many of us in this boat, who have had no response from those in the know about how to correct this.  We are told that we would be 'double dipping."  If you ask me, (and I grant you, no one did) we are the ones getting dipped.&lt;br&gt;What I would like to see addressed, should you choose to pursue this further, is the reasoning behind the fact that state reps and senators CAN recover both SS and a pension with no penalty.  I have asked Rep. Tsongas this very question, to be met with a lot of the double talk for which she is famous and no real answer.  Thank you for putting your time and energy into this investigation.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Linda Gibbs</dc:creator><pubDate>Mon, 27 Feb 2012 13:05:35 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
